Jane Jermark, LPN, retires after 45 years of service to MCHHS

Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) would like to announce the retirement of Jane Jermark, LPN, and thank her for 45 years of service to our organization.  Jane’s last day as an employee of the hospital was May 1, 2024.
Jane completed her LPN education at North Central Kansas Technical College from 1977 to 1978.  Following graduation, she briefly worked at Asbury Hospital in Salina before joining MCHHS on January 2, 1979, where she began as a nursing assistant. Subsequently, she successfully passed her LPN boards and participated in the first LPN IV certification class in 1991.  Jane dedicated the rest of her career to MCHHS, serving in the acute nursing department encompassing the ER, nursery, ICU, and acute care floor.
Throughout her career, Jane has witnessed numerous transformations within the field of nursing. From advancements in technology and patient care practices to shifts in healthcare policies and education standards, Jane has experienced many changes that have shaped her professional journey.   She has positively touched the lives of countless patients and their families, and has served as a mentor and role model to colleagues and students.   
In recognition of her 45 years of dedicated service and commitment to excellence, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jane Jermark, LPN.  “Jane encompasses the true definition of nursing, as she is committed to nursing excellence, believing every patient deserves and should receive high quality and compassionate healthcare,” states Nicki Cleveland, Chief Nursing Officer. “We have loved having Jane on our team, and she will be greatly missed. We hope she enjoys her well-deserved retirement!”
